This is how I bought the shell, no engine, gearbox, glass, trims, bumpers, interior, bodywork looked quite straight though.....

 

 

 Trunk lid is fibreglass, trunk hinges had been removed....

 

rear axle was mounted on very agricultural looking ladder bars and the strangest coilover mounts ever....

Tubs were welded to the rear quarter panels and bolted to the frame...

I was told that the axle was a good 12 bolt posi, turned out to be welded... and broken...

 

 

One piece firewall and toeboards, no front body mounts, I dummied up a SB to work out how to fab the firewall but was not happy about having no bodymounts...

 

Dash centre was covered with rolled aluminium, I removed it and found no dash centre...

 

 

When I started stripping the body back to bare metal I discovered filler over 1/2 inch deep in places, the lower rear quarter on one side was hand made, doors had what looked like bullet holes...

 

 

 

The frame turned out to be a 57, I have since changed it for a 55, at least the bumper brackets will line up...
